Walailak University has taken part in the third annual “Open House: Sufficiency Living” event held at Chumchonmai School, aiming to foster learning based on the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy and support educational innovation for youth and local communities.
The university delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Laksanara Khwanchum, Deputy Director of the Center for Academic Services, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Pawares Funoi, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and Lecturer Anutsara Ruengmak from the School of Liberal Arts.
The event featured a variety of activities including educational exhibitions, a sufficiency marketplace promoting vocational skills, and food stalls managed by students and community members. The university representatives also visited the Royal Initiative Learning Room, a comprehensive learning space that integrates royal development principles, and participated in educational innovation activities introducing integrated curriculum development based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy.
Highlights of the event included the “Sufficiency Bingo” game, 2D animation learning media, and presentations of various projects run by the Center for Academic Services in collaboration with its network partners. These initiatives aim to enhance lifelong learning and promote sustainable community development.
Walailak University has been actively developing innovative educational media in partnership with Chumchonmai School and nearby institutions. These efforts align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, which advocates for inclusive and equitable quality education, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, which emphasizes cross-sector collaboration for sustainable progress.
This engagement marks another significant step for Walailak University in promoting lifelong learning and enhancing educational quality through strong partnerships with local communities. It reaffirms the university’s role as a knowledge hub dedicated to advancing sustainable social development.
