On Thursday, December 12, 2024, Pol. Lt. Col. Wannachai Sukjeam, Inspector of Nakhon Si Thammarat Immigration, along with officials from the Nakhon Si Thammarat Immigration Office, visited Walailak University to meet with university executives and international students. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation in facilitating visa procedures and improve support for international students studying at Walailak University.

The delegation, which was led by Pol. Lt. Col. Wannachai, met with Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, Dr. Suthasinee Sangkham, Assistant to the President, Dr. Suchita Manajit, Associate Dean of the International College, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Director of the Center for International Affairs. 

 

During the meeting, key topics were discussed such as the visa application procedures for international students, the latest updates to immigration laws, and the process of transitioning from a Tourist Visa to an ED Plus visa for exchange students. 

The discussions also covered Walailak University’s international cooperation policies and the exchange of information regarding security and safety measures for international students.

The meeting was an important step toward fostering mutual understanding and enhancing the quality of life for international students at Walailak University. Both sides worked together to outline effective strategies for supporting the academic and daily lives of international students, taking into account the needs and suggestions from all involved parties.
