Walaikhom Gate Arch

The "Walaikhom Gate Arch" stands out for its grandeur and elegance. It serves as a decorative landmark to honor royal occasions and as a site for placing offerings during various royal ceremonies. The arch also displays the university's motto: "Walailak University produces graduates who are both morally strong and professionally proficient."

Walailak Park

Established in 2017–2018, Walailak Park is a public space offering relaxation for the university's staff, faculty, and students, as well as the local community in Tha Sala, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and surrounding areas. It also welcomes visitors from across the country and abroad. Since the opening of Walailak University Hospital, the park has offered a serene environment for hospital visitors to relax and rejuvenate, providing both physical and mental refreshment.

Walailak Park is situated along the entrance road to the university, directly across from Walailak University Hospital. It spans a total area of 255 rai, with 130 rai of water and 125 rai of land. A highlight of the park is the Golden Manora, featuring a waterfront terrace where visitors can relax, feed the fish, and enjoy the sunset with a beautiful view of Khao Luang Mountain.

Walailak Botanic Park

Walailak Botanic Park is located within the university’s conservation area, covering approximately 1,350 rai. It serves as a hub for academic services and an informal learning space for both students and the general public, while also contributing to tourism in Nakhon Si Thammarat. The area is continuously developed to enhance the botanic park's uniqueness, with features including:

Bota Sky Tower is a new landmark in Nakhon Si Thammarat, offering a unique natural trail experience. Visitors can walk along a suspension bridge above the treetops, reaching a height equivalent to that of an eight-story building. From the eastern side, one can enjoy the panoramic views of Walailak University’s lecture buildings and the surrounding Botanic Park. To the west, the view extends to the majestic Khao Luang Mountain range in Nakhon Si Thammarat, which stands beautifully amidst nature and the vast sky.

  

Bota Orchids House

The Orchids House is home to southern Thailand’s native orchids, rare species, and hybrid varieties, with 55 different types on display. Notable examples include Hang Chang Puek, a native southern orchid that holds the title of the largest in the world, and striking hybrid species like Phalaenopsis, known for its beautifully shaped flowers. The Orchids House is divided into two main zones: Zone A, which showcases orchids as sculptures, including a butterfly orchid garden and a vertical orchid garden, and Zone B, which is dedicated to orchid sculptures and a sky garden.

  

Wildlife Breeding Center

The Wildlife Breeding Center serves as a learning hub for visitors interested in wildlife. Initially, it features three species: capybaras, muntjacs, and hog deer, with plans to introduce additional species in the future.

 

 

The Herb Garden features a collection of herbs based on primary health care principles and their use in teaching and learning for the School of Pharmacy and the School of Medicine. The garden is managed by the Botanic Park, which gathers and cultivates herbs systematically and continuously.

The Cactus Dome is a showcase of various cactus species, drought-tolerant plants, and succulents. It serves as a vital learning resource on plant species, particularly those native to southern Thailand. Students, researchers, and the general public are welcome to explore and deepen their knowledge of these plants within the Botanic Park.
