On August 30, 2024, at Khlong Noi Subdistrict, Pak Phanang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, "The Coastal River Basin Management in Pak Phanang River Basin with Participatory Project", led by Mr. Suthira Thongkao, the lecturer from the School of Languages and General Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pakorn Ditthakit, the lecturer from the School of Engineering and Technology, and the team from the Center for Academic Services, organized the watershed management framework for a participatory water management.

A participatory meeting for water management was involved key community stakeholders, led by, the Khlong Noi Subdistrict headman, along with village headman and community representatives. The meeting also included the Khlong Noi Subdistrict Administrative Organization, headed by Chief Executive of the Khlong Noi Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and her management team, as well as government agencies such as the Lower Pakpanang Operation and Maintenance Project and the Mangrove Management Center (Nakhon Si Thammarat).

The participants discussed and planned proactive water management strategies, including development and problem-solving efforts related to water issues based on location specific diversity of geographic and occupational contexts of the Khlong Noi Subdistrict community. Additionally, they addressed the preparation of the area for the upcoming rainy season at the end of the year, aiming for comprehensive water management across the subdistrict and minimizing the spatial effect of water management on neighboring villages and subdistricts.
