On July 3, 2026, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, presided over a Royal Blessing Ceremony and an alms-giving ceremony for Buddhist monks in celebration of the birthday anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, which is on July 4, 2026. The event was attended by Mr. Theerapong Chuaychu, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, along with university executives, staff, and students, as well as representatives from government agencies and the private sector, and members of the surrounding community. Held at the Bussarakum Meeting Room in the Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Natural History Museum, the ceremony drew a large turnout, reflecting deep loyalty and gratitude to Her Royal Highness for her decades of devoted service to the nation and its people.

During the ceremony, Walailak University students performed a traditional dance in tribute before Her Royal Highness's portrait. Representatives of the university's various departments, student leaders, members of the Satit Walailak Pattana Community, and representatives of outside agencies then came forward in turn to present floral tributes.

Professor Dr. Sombat subsequently presented a floral arrangement as a royal tribute, opened the ceremonial flower cone, and read an address of royal blessing. He then led attendees in signing a book of blessings, wishing Her Royal Highness continued good health and happiness, and that she remain the beloved guiding light and inspiration for the Thai people for years to come.

Beyond the main ceremony, Walailak University has organized a series of charitable activities dedicated to Her Royal Highness, including a blood donation drive and a volunteer initiative titled "Walailak Cares for the Environment: Landscape Development." Members of the public are also invited to sign a book of blessings online through the university's website, www.wu.ac.th, and to visit an exhibition honoring Her Royal Highness, along with an in-person signing station, on the second floor of the Professor Dr. Wichit Srisa-an Building. Both the online signing and the exhibition will remain open from July 1 to July 15, 2026.
