CAS and the Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center (Upper Andaman Sea) Organize the 32nd Marine Ecology Summer Course for Practical Activities

 

MUEANG PHUKET DISTRICT, PHUKET, 20 – 28 April 2025 – The Center for Academic Services, Walailak University, in collaboration with the Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center (Upper Andaman Sea), organized the 32nd Marine Ecology Summer Course for the practical activity session. The event took place from 20 to 28 April 2025 and welcomed 20 participants from various parts of Thailand.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Miss Tipamat Upanoi, Director of the Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center (Upper Andaman Sea), who delivered a welcoming speech to all participants.

The program aimed to provide participants with both knowledge and hands-on experience related to marine ecosystems through a range of practical activities. Lecturers and scientists from the Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center led the sessions, sharing their expertise in marine ecology.

Additionally, the event featured a merit-making ceremony in memory of Asst. Prof. Dr. Pitiwong Tantichodok, co-founder of the Marine Ecology Summer Course. Participants offered meals to monks as a tribute, honoring his contributions to marine science education and conservation.

The course successfully enriched participants’ academic experience while promoting awareness of marine ecosystem conservation and sustainable resource management.
