During the regional boot camp for the Experiential Learning Program, held at the Northern Science Park Administration Building in Chiang Mai Province, two Walailak University students were selected to join an overseas program with leading incubators for a global startup experience.

From July 6–8, 2024, the Walailak Entrepreneurship Development Academy (WEDA) led a team of students to participate in the camp.

Two students from Walailak University, Mr. Ukkagonnachai Thirasatianrat from the School of Medicine and Mr. Nitit Thamrongthepphithak from the School of Engineering and Technology were selected among 35 Thai students to participate in the program abroad.

The representatives from Walailak University were chosen out of 850 students from 16 higher education institutions nationwide, and will engage in knowledge exchange with leading incubators in five countries: The United Kingdom, France, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.

The Experiential Learning Program aims to nurture students with an entrepreneurial mindset who can connect market opportunities, share, and exchange ideas for creating and developing innovative businesses. It also promotes experiential learning both domestically and internationally, enabling students to apply their knowledge in creating future innovative businesses.
